1. About Narnia

1. Why did Prince Rilian shiver when the Queen of the Underland spoke to him? What did he say? What did the Witch do in response to the Prince’s speech?

Although the prince’s magic had been unraveled, it was not easy to wipe out past experiences at once. But in the great effort, he said he would not carry out her plan. He also revealed his identity and asked him and his friends (Jeal, Youth, and Puddleum) to escape her kingdom safely. In response, the witch put a handful of green powder in the fireplace and played an instrument shaped like a mandolin.

2. What darted into Jill’s head at once? What made her forget them? What did she feel like? Why? What did Puddleglum say? How did it affect the others?

She thought ex-perimental House, Adela Penyfather, her own home, radio-sats, cinemas, cars, airplanes, row-books, queues. But because of the Queen’s magic, they gradually faded from her memory. But still conscious, Puddleglum reminded others of their memories, helping them wake up from magic.

3. How did the Prince try to explain the sun? How did Scrubb try to explain a lion? How did the Witch respond?

The prince explained the sun against the lamp. Scrub described Aslan as a cat. The analogy could not be 100 percent like the original idea. The witch used it to tell the difference, saying that what they came up with was based on imagination.

4. What brave thing did Puddleglum do? What happened all at once?

He extinguished the fire using his barefoot. At that moment the sweet and intense smell disappeared a lot and his head cleared up. The sweet voice of the witch changed into a terrifying and creepy voice.

5. What was happening to the Witch? What did she do? What did the Prince do? What did Scrubb and Puddleglum do?

The witch turned into a big snake. Then he tried to kill the prince. The prince tightened the snake’s neck with his left hand. Then with Eustus and Puddleum, he stabbed the snake with a knife.

I felt this book was coming to an end with the witch’s death. When the children forgot the signs that Aslan gave Jill, I expected their rough adventure. But, I was relieved to have noticed the last sign and saved the prince. I hope they can safely leave the dark kingdom and have a happy ending.

2. About A Little Princess.

This time, I read Chapter 9. The title of Chapter 9 is Melchisedec, a name Sera gave to the mouse. Becky, who came to Sera’s attic, could not hide her sorrow. However, Sera tried to see positive things even in negative situations. She was a very positive girl. There lived a mouse in her attic. Other people would have hated and hated mice, but Sera took pity on him and gave the food. Once she got close to a mouse, she named it Melchisedec and decided to be friends. Sera is a very kind girl. Sera is currently in a more difficult situation than anyone else, but she is a good girl who can take care of other things and feel compassion. As I read this book, I thought that a person who knows how to give love to others is a real rich man.
